Fine-tune: outer lines and error settings
Inner lines
Movement and firing error make the lines spread while you move or shoot. The preview shows the crosshair standing still.

How to make a Valorant crosshair
- Pick a starting point: a plus, a small plus or a dot. Hover over each for what it suits.
- Choose a colour from the game's eight, or a custom one.
- Adjust the inner lines: length, thickness and offset (the gap in the middle). Turn on the centre dot or outlines if you want them.
- Check it on each background. Use Actual size to see it as it will look in game.
- Copy the code and import it in Valorant (steps below).
The settings and limits match the game's crosshair menu, so the code works in Valorant as it is. Outer lines and the movement and firing error options are under Fine-tune; most players turn them off.
How to import a crosshair code in Valorant
- Copy the crosshair code from the tool above, a friend or a pro crosshair list.
- Open Valorant and go to Settings.
- Select the Crosshair tab.
- Click the Import profile code button (the down-arrow icon next to the crosshair profile).
- Paste the code and click Import. It is saved as a new crosshair profile.
Test it in The Range before playing ranked: check you can still see it against bright walls, dark corners and smoke. If the game says the code is invalid, it was probably cut off when copying; paste it into the tool above to check.
Popular crosshair styles and codes
Most players use one of a few styles. Copy a code, or click the style in the tool to start from it.
| Style | Good for | Code |
|---|---|---|
| Plus 1-4-2-0 | The most common starting point: a small, solid plus with no gap | 0;P;c;5;0l;4;0o;0;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0 |
| Small plus 1-2-2-1 | A tiny plus with a 1-pixel gap that hides less of the target | 0;P;c;1;0l;2;0o;1;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0 |
| Dot | Just a centre dot, for players who aim by placement | 0;P;c;4;d;1;z;4;0b;0;1b;0 |
| Plus with gap 1-5-2-3 | A larger open plus that leaves the centre clear | 0;P;c;5;h;0;0l;5;0a;1;0f;0;1b;0 |
| Game default | The crosshair every account starts with | 0 |
Pro players' crosshairs are mostly small plus or dot shapes like these, in cyan, green or yellow. Their exact codes change often, so copy them from an up-to-date pro settings list and paste them into the tool to see them first.
What does 1-4-2-0 mean?
Players describe a crosshair's inner lines with four numbers in the order they appear in the game menu: opacity – length – thickness – offset.
| Number | Setting | Means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Opacity | Fully solid (0 is invisible) |
| 4 | Length | Each line is 4 pixels long |
| 2 | Thickness | Each line is 2 pixels thick |
| 0 | Offset | No gap: the lines meet in the middle |
So 1-4-2-0 is a small solid plus with no gap, and 1-5-2-3 is a slightly longer plus with a 3-pixel gap on each side of the centre. The game default is 0.8-6-2-3, with faint outer lines as well.
Dot or plus, and which colour?
Plus crosshairs are easier to see and help with spraying, because the lines frame the target. Dots hide less of the enemy's head and suit players who aim by crosshair placement and tap or burst fire. If you are not sure, start with a small plus like 1-4-2-0 and shorten it until it feels unobtrusive.
For colour, pick one that stands out against every map. Cyan, green and yellow are the most popular because they contrast with the game's greys, browns and blues. Avoid red: enemy outlines are red by default, so a red crosshair blends into the target. Turn on outlines (thickness 1, opacity 0.5 or more) if your crosshair gets lost on bright walls.
How to read a crosshair code
A code only lists what differs from the default crosshair, as pairs of a key and a value separated by semicolons. 0;P; starts the primary crosshair; codes can also have A; (aim down sights) and S; (sniper scope) parts. The common keys:
| Key | Setting | Example |
|---|---|---|
| c | Colour: 0 white, 1 green, 4 yellow, 5 cyan, 6 pink, 7 red, 8 custom | c;5 = cyan |
| u | Custom colour as a hex code (with c;8) | u;FF8800FF |
| h | Outlines on or off | h;0 = off |
| d / z | Centre dot on, and its thickness | d;1;z;3 |
| 0l 0t 0o 0a | Inner line length, thickness, offset, opacity | 0l;4;0o;0;0a;1 |
| 0f | Inner line firing error | 0f;0 = off |
| 1b | Outer lines on or off | 1b;0 = off |
The game default crosshair is simply 0. You can edit a code by hand, for example change c;5 to c;1 to swap cyan for green, but pasting it into the tool is easier and shows you the result.
Frequently asked questions
Can I preview a crosshair code before importing it?
Yes. Paste the code into the Crosshair code box above. The preview and every slider update to match, so you can see it and tweak it before copying it back.
What is the best Valorant crosshair?
There is no single best one. A small cyan or green plus such as 1-4-2-0, with firing error and outer lines off, is the most common choice and a good place to start.
Why does my crosshair look smaller on a 1440p monitor?
Crosshair sizes are in screen pixels, so the same code looks smaller on a higher-resolution screen. If it feels too small, raise the length and thickness a little.
How do I share my crosshair?
In Valorant’s Crosshair settings, use the option to export or copy your profile code, then send that code. Anyone can import it in the game or paste it here to see it.
