This is a markup editor, not a full PDF text editor. You can draw freehand, add translucent highlight strokes, and place new text on top of a rendered page. It does not rewrite existing words, fonts, paragraphs, links, or form fields in place.
Unedited pages stay untouched. A page you mark up receives a raster snapshot drawn over its original page content so the visible result matches the canvas preview.
Creates opaque freehand strokes using the selected color and width. Use it for arrows, circles, underlines, or handwritten review marks.
Creates a wide translucent stroke so page content remains visible underneath. Highlight is visual markup, not a semantic PDF highlight annotation.
Places a short text overlay at the point you click using the selected text size. The text becomes part of the raster markup overlay rather than a separately editable PDF text object.
The editor renders a page to a bitmap, applies your marks to that bitmap, and then places the resulting image over the original page when exporting. This gives a predictable visual result, but it changes how that edited page behaves.
Searchable text, vector graphics, links, form controls, and annotations can remain in the PDF underneath or alongside that overlay. In particular, interactive annotations such as links can still exist even when their original page artwork is visually covered. This is not secure redaction or structural content removal.
Drawing a black box over sensitive text only hides it visually. The original page content can remain underneath the flattened overlay.
Saving edits changes the PDF. If signature validity matters, verify the exported copy in the signing or validation software used by your workflow.
